Urtica dioica L. subsp. gracilis (Ait.) Seland.
A noxious stinging plant found in the southwest in moist montane habitats. This
subspecies is found nearly throughout the United States and is native. Subspecies
dioica is introduced. Compared to Urtica gracilenta, the leaves are longer
and narrower.
