Tradescantia occidentalis
The foliage gives the general impression of a cultivated onion, but the blue flowers
certainly do not. Tradescantia is differentiated from Commelina by its hairy stamen filaments &
having the flowers in an open umbellate inflorescence rather than enveloped by a spathe.
