Heterotheca zionensis
A common plant of roadsides and drier areas in the mountains. Traditionally, this has
been considered to be an endemic of northeastern Arizona and southeastern Utah with
occasional introduced populations elsewhere, however
the circumscription of H. zionensis is apparently in some amount of flux and recent
annotations by G.L. Nesom of plants at NMC suggest a broader circumscription, including
plants formerly included in H. villosa.
