Desmodium batocaulon
A common plant in oak/juniper/pinyon woodland in southwestern New Mexico, southeastern
Arizona, and the Big Bend region of Texas. My identification is somewhat tentative;
Desmodium cinerascens is the only other species in the area with fruits that are only
sparsely pubescent, long-stipitate, and with oval, untwisted segments.
