Acacia angustissima var. texensis

A small shrubby plant, one of the unarmed Acacia. Found in southern & western Texas, southern New Mexico, and southern Arizona, and southwards into Mexico, generally in desertscrub on rocky slopes. Compared to the other varieites of A. angustissima, var. texensis has much smaller leaves with fewer pinnae & fewer leaflets per pinna. Recently, Acacia has been split and this species placed in Acaciella. I might update the webpage accordingly at some point.
