Portulaca umbraticola Kunth subsp. lanceolata (Engelm.) Matthews

A common plant in low-elevation canyons in southeastern Arizona, southwestern New Mexico, and the Big Bend region of Texas, abundant in wet years. Best recognized by the winged margins of the fruits. The flowers vary from pure yellow to orange or magenta with yellow centers.
